Eligibility
Leisure Options is a specialist travel agency with over 27 years’ experience providing supported holidays for adults (18 years and over) with a disability.
Our services provide support for travellers with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries along with travel companions for the frail and elderly.
Whilst we respect everyone’s right to enjoy a holiday, unfortunately, Leisure Options is not able to accommodate people with severe intellectual disabilities, travellers who are violent or have highly aggressive and/or challenging behaviours.
You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to the travel and ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. Failure to present vaccination documentation may lead to a denial of entry into a country. You should consult with your doctor before commencing any travel. Leisure Options follows strict COVID protocols and government guidelines on all tours. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption is required prior to travel.
Bookings
We manage your booking on a ‘first in first-served basis.’ Eligibility is assessed from information supplied in the Holiday Application Form and once confirmed you are listed on your selected tour.
Your position is held for 14 days pending payment of your holiday deposit. Bookings are guaranteed on the payment of a deposit.
If your selected holiday is full, you will be directed to other suitable tour options. Our Holiday Guarantee ensures all scheduled tours run as planned and minimum numbers do not apply.
Referrals
If Leisure Options is unable to support a traveller due to age, behaviours, complex support needs, or other reasons we will refer you onto one of our preferred suppliers who are better suited to assist.
Home Visits
Home visits can be arranged for travellers wishing to meet their tour leader prior to travel. Leisure Options may schedule a home visit for travellers with complex care requirements. Costs for these visits are invoiced to the traveller.
Entering and Exiting the Service
The first-holiday booking is considered entry to the service. An initial Holiday Application Form is required and then it must be updated every 18 months, or sooner if information changes. This can be completed by the traveller, their carer, family member, significant other, or advocate.
Terms and Conditions are required to be signed for each tour and a Service Agreement must be completed upon entry into the service.
Should either party wish to end the Service Agreement they must give 60 days written notice and apply to all conditions set out in Leisure Option’s cancellation policy.
If either party seriously breaches the Service Agreement the requirement of notice will be waived. Travellers can re-access the service at any time by booking on a holiday and ensuring all paperwork is up to date.
