Extra Assistance Mobility
Travellers who require extra assistance with walking or use mobility aids such as a walking frame or wheelchair for distance. Can manage a regular bus or coach or a few stairs
Extra Assistance Personal Care
Travellers who require assistance with showering, toileting, other areas of personal care, meals and activities of daily living

Holiday Ratios
All Leisure Options holidays are tailored to provide you with the greatest enjoyment. To ensure we can cater for your specific needs and provide safe experiences, we have developed holiday ratios to give you the appropriate level of care. The ratios indicate the number of staff members on a holiday for each traveller.
1:4 Ratio
For travellers who are primarily independent in all areas of personal care with appropriate social skills when out in the community.
Living Situation
- Living independently in the community, in supported accommodation or with family members
Personal Care
- Independent with most activities of daily living including toileting, showering and brushing teeth
- Requires a minimal amount of prompting with personal hygiene (such as adjusting shower temperature or choosing appropriate clothes)
Meals
- Able to eat independently and appropriately and capable of preparing beverages
- Is confident in a restaurant and other public places
- Requires minimal assistance in regard to the selection of meals and cutting of food
Money
- Can manage their spending money with minimal assistance
Behaviour
- Has good social skills in the community
- Understands road rules and can stay with the group on outings
- Able to handle a full day of activities in the community and can follow instructions
- No behavioural issues or challenging social conduct

1:2 Ratio
For travellers requiring immediate and prompt assistance with personal care and meals, those that use mobility aids or enjoy slower-paced travel and those needing close supervision when out in the community.
Living Situation
- Living in supported accommodation or with family members
Personal Care
- Requires assistance with showering, shaving, toileting or brushing teeth
- May require prompting to pick appropriate clothes and some assistance with dressing
Meals
- Requires assistance during mealtimes and supervision to eat appropriately
- May not be used to dining in restaurants and may display socially unacceptable behaviour such as wandering or grabbing food from others
Money
- Requires support in the handling of spending money
Behaviour
- Requires closer supervision in the community and on outings
- May need prompting to stay with the group
- May display some socially unacceptable behaviours
1:1 Ratio
Travellers who require full assistance with personal care and meals and require strict supervision in the community. This also includes travellers in manual or electric wheelchairs.
Living Situation
- Living in supported accommodation or with family members
Personal Care
- Requires full assistance with showering, toileting and brushing teeth
- Requires assistance with dressing
Meals
- Has special requirements during mealtimes and needs assistance to eat such as being fed by staff
- May need meals to be cut up or vitamised
- May not be used to dining in restaurants and display socially unacceptable behaviour such as wandering or grabbing other people’s food
Money
- Requires full support in the handling of spending money
Behaviour
- Requires full assistance and constant supervision in the community and on outings
- May have some behavioural issues and challenging social conduct
