What’s included in your respite stay
Here’s what you can expect during your NDIS respite care experience with us:
- Stay duration: Up to 14 days at a time, (with a maximum of 28 days over 12 months)
- Purpose: Try new activities, meet new friends, develop skills and work towards your goals
- Professional Support: Caring, professional staff to assist with your needs and ensure your safety
- Accommodation Options: Stay at one of Leisure Options’ exclusive respite properties or choose from a variety of destinations that cater to your preferences and goals. Whether you prefer a tranquil beachside retreat, a peaceful country escape, or another exciting location, we’ll make sure your accommodation is comfortable, accessible and suited to your needs
- Meals: Nutritious and delicious meals throughout the day including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner
- Activities: Enjoy a range of activities from beach walks and bush hikes to arts and crafts, all designed to make your stay enjoyable and enriching
How Short Term Accommodations (STA) works
Short Term Accommodations (STA), including respite, provides temporary care and accommodation when your informal supports are unavailable, or when you or your informal carers need a break. STA is available for those with NDIS funding, but if you’re not on the NDIS, you can still access our services by self-funding your stay.
NDIS eligibility for STA and respite care
To qualify for funding, your NDIS plan must include support for Short Term Accommodation and Assistance (Respite) or Social and Community Participation.
