Your Hawaiian adventure
The journey begins
Your journey begins with a flight from Melbourne to Honolulu, the vibrant capital of
Hawaii. Here, we’ll stay at a hotel in Waikiki, where you can relax and unwind. Take a stroll along bustling Kalakaua Avenue, where you can shop for souvenirs, enjoy local cuisine and soak in the lively atmosphere.
In the evening, we’ll watch the famous fireworks at the Hilton, followed by dinner at a local restaurant, making for a perfect start to our Hawaiian adventure.
Day two: Boarding the Pride of America
The next day, you’ll board Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America, the only cruise
ship based in Hawaii year-round. This ship is designed to offer an exceptional cruising experience, with accessible facilities and a range of amenities that cater to your every need. Settle in for a week-long adventure as you cruise through some of the most scenic waters in the world.
Day three & four: Exploring Maui
The first port of call is Maui, known as ‘the Valley Isle’. Over the next two days, we’ll
be docked at Kahului, Maui. This island is often voted the best island in the United States, and it’s easy to see why. Maui’s lush valleys, scenic coastlines and charming towns offer a diverse range of experiences. We’ll spend time exploring the island, enjoying lunch out, and returning to the ship for a relaxing evening with dinner onboard.
Day five: Discovering Hilo’s charm
Our next stop is Hilo, located on the island of Hawaii, also known as the Big Island.
Here, we’ll visit the famous Hilo Hula Tuesdays, where you can experience traditional Hawaiian music and dance. Hilo is a land of contrasts, with black sand beaches, lush valleys, and dramatic volcanic landscapes. After a day of exploring, we’ll return to the ship for dinner and a restful night.
Day six: Historic Kona
On day six, we arrive in Kona, a historic town on the west coast of the Big Island.
Kona is known for its rich history, stunning beaches and world-renowned coffee. We’ll take a historic tour of Kona, learning about the town’s significance in Hawaiian culture. Enjoy lunch out in Kona before heading back to the ship for dinner and an evening at sea.
Day seven & eight: The beauty of Kauai
Kauai, also known as ‘The Garden Isle’, is our next destination. Covered in tropical rainforest, Kauai offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in Hawaii. On day seven, we’ll enjoy a relaxing day exploring the island, with lunch out and dinner back onboard the ship.
Day eight is all about the adventure, with a tour that includes waterfalls, a plantation visit and a scenic train ride. Kauai’s dramatic cliffs, lush valleys, and towering mountains provide a stunning backdrop for these activities. After a full day of exploration, we’ll return to the ship for dinner and reflect on the incredible experiences we’ve had so far.
Day nine: Return to Honolulu
As we arrive back in Honolulu, it’s time to disembark and transfer to our hotel in
Waikiki. With the afternoon free to spend as we wish, we could perhaps visit Waikiki Beach or do some last-minute shopping at Ala Moana, one of Hawaii’s premier shopping destinations. After a day of relaxation, we’ll enjoy our final dinner out, celebrating the end of a remarkable journey.
Day ten & eleven: Farewell to Hawaii & return to Melbourne
Our final day in Hawaii starts with breakfast out before packing up and checking out
of the hotel. As we depart, you’ll have time to reflect on the unforgettable experiences and memories made during this incredible journey.
After an overnight flight, we’ll arrive back in Melbourne bringing our Hawaiian adventure to a close. Although the trip has ended, the memories and friendships made will last a lifetime.
